Long time Planning Commission member, John Castrovinci, has submitted his resignation from the board effective immediately. In his letter, he cited his new duties as EASD Human Resources Manager as needing his full time attention.
What this means to you is that his unexpired term (through the end of 2009) needs filling now. The opening must yet be advertised in the Express Times. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't send your letters of interest to the Township Manager Rick Schnaedter as soon as possible.
This is your chance to step up and be part of the process - to be part of crafting future Forks. Currently, when not facing developers' plans, the Planning Commission is working on crafting a new zoning ordinance for green technologies (windmills, solar panels, etc.), a revised concept for Town Center planning, and much more.
The Planning Commission meets twice a month, the second Thursday of the month for its regular meeting, and the fourth Tuesday for a workshop.
Don't delay!
