Township residents have recently received a mailing from the Hope Wesleyan Church of the Lehigh Valley announcing its new home in the Forks Community Center.
This is the result of a lease negotiated by Supervisor/Community Center Manager Don Miller apparently without the authority of the Forks Board of Supervisors.
This lease will be the subject of the special PUBLIC meeting on Thursday, October 29th at 6 PM in the Municipal Building.

I am not writing against doing things according the the law, but the tone of this seems to be more against a church using a public building. Oh no! A church group is trying to use a public building! If a gang or atheist group had leased it, there would probably be no complaints. People, get it in your heads: separation of church and state was meant to provide that no one particular faith would be forced on the nation..(hello, muslim nations like Iran) If you don't want to attend this church, simply don't go. If the church is paying a lease, your tax dollars are not supporting the church.
